The time is right, don't forget to email

If you are not collecting email addresses (with an opt-in request) from customers that visit your dealership you are missing a golden opportunity. This may seem obvious to a lot of people, but I'm never surprised at how many dealerships do not take advantage of collecting email info from customers.

It is true that there has to be a compelling reason for someone to sign-up. So promote the opt-in email list as a benefit. This means offering discounts and awards for service and purchases only available to subscribers.

The price is right. For the dealership the cost to send an email is very inexpensive. It is a cheap way to stay in front of customers and creating new email newsletters does NOT require technical experience. For the customer, the coupon or discount is a great way to save money.

Eliminate Charge Backs

There is a new program just developed by Caliber, it is called "Customers For Life Program", or CFL.

CFL was developed to help automobile dealers boost their bottom line without any additional investment of money or time. It's a second chance marketing effort to provide a dealer's existing customer base with extended warranty protection and maintenance. We contact each customer on behalf of the dealer offering the dealer's present warranty product line. This strengthens customer loyalty and ensures the customer returns to the dealership to service their vehicle for maintenance and repairs.
